Upcoming Elections
November 4, 2025 Election

Polls are open for the November 4, 2025 election between 7:00am and 8:00pm. A sample ballot can be viewed online at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/PublicBallot/Index

Voters who plan to cast an absentee ballot must be on the Permanent Ballot List or submit a absentee ballot application. The last day to register in any manner, other than in-person with the city clerk, is Monday, October 20, 2025. In-person only registration with the city clerk is October 21, 2025 through election day, providing proof of residency.

FILING OF NOMINATING PETITIONS: the deadline for filing petitions for candidacy for the November 4, 2025 General City Election is Tuesday, July 22, 2025 by 4:00 PM. Officers to be filled: (1) Mayor (Two-year term ending November, 2027) and (3) Commissioners (Four-year term ending November, 2029).

Candidates must be a US citizen, a registered elector of the City, over twenty-one (21) years of age, a resident of the City for at least one (1) year, and not in default to the City.

Nominating Petitions and Affidavits of Identity are available at the City Offices, 280 S. Maple St (M-37) Grant, Michigan, Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM and Fridays between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
