Commissioner Harry E. Robinson
Harry has been a member of the City Commission since 1987, and has been a member of the Newaygo County Planning & Zoning Commission since 2001, serving as Chairman since 2004. Harry has been a resident of Newaygo County for his entire life. Professionally, Harry is self employed and has spent much of his professional career as a farm equipment mechanic, truck driver, and farmer. Harry graduated from Grant High School, served in the United States Army for two years, and attended the Newaygo County Area Vocational School, specializing in small engines, automotive, and diesel repair. Other professional organizations that Harry belongs to include the Michigan Farm Bureau, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He has participated in the Newaygo County Area Vocational Center Implement Advisory Committee since 1974, and has previously acted as a 4-H Member and Leader. Harry and his wife, Dawn have three children and six grandchildren.
